ND Country Fest Postponed to 2021

ND Country Fest 2020 is postponed to July 8-9-10 2021.

Tickets and Camping purchased for 2020 will be honored for 2021.

Over the past few months, ND Country Fest has worked diligently in conjunction with all the powers that be, to work through the COVID-19 government guidelines and recommendations and come up with a comprehensive Safety Plan to hold ND Country Fest 2020 in New Salem, ND, at the Morton County Fairgrounds. Everyone from the State level down, including the Music Industry itself was impressed with their Safety Plan.

"We are proud of our work and our Plan to move forward responsibly and safely, and did absolutely everything we possibly could to go forward in 2020," says Luke Shafer, Owner and Founder.

To that end, ND Country Fest understood that everyone was good with the Plan and they were led to believe that as numbers stayed down with COVID Cases, the Governor would bring us to Blue on the re-opening of the State, and then everything would be good to go.

Late Tuesday, June 23, the Governor came out at the ND Health Department Covid-19 Press Briefing, and stated that he was not going to bring the State to Blue until later this summer. In the meantime, this left the final decisions on upcoming events to the individual Counties to make their own determinations.

On Wednesday, June 24, per the Governor's directive, ND Country Fest requested a Special Approval from the Morton County Health Administrator to approve ND Country Fest 2020 to proceed as planned and was denied since the State is still in Green.

This left ND Country Fest with very few options, and in the end, ND Country Fest made the extremely difficult decision to Postpone the Festival until July 8-9-10, 2021.
