Video Shows California Cop Saving Man In Wheelchair Stuck On Train Tracks

A California police officer is being hailed as a hero after saving the life of a man who got stuck on train tracks. Officer Erica Urrea of the Lodi Police Department was driving when she saw the wheelchair-bound man trying to cross the tracks as a train approached.

Urrea jumped out of her patrol car and rushed over to help the 66-year-old man as the railroad crossing arms started to come down. She managed to pull him from his wheelchair seconds before the train barreled past. The train appeared to clip the man's leg as Urrea pulled him to safety. He was taken to the hospital, and his condition is unknown.

The Lodi Police Department shared the dramatic video recorded by Urrea's body camera on YouTube.

"Officer Urrea risked her own life to save another and her actions prevented a tragedy today. We are extremely proud of Officer Erica Urrea and her heroism," the department said.
