Rob Parker: “Mavericks GM Nico Harrison held a press conference today, basically saying he has no regrets. He made the trade, he’s good with it despite where the Mavericks are and what happened. He talked about his belief that defense wins championships, and let’s just face it: this was not a basketball trade. He can sugarcoat it; talk about it any way he wants to. They were looking out for their business! They said they weren’t paying $350 million to a 25-year-old with the body of a 35-year-old!”
Kelvin Washington: “Here’s where he gets smoke from me. If you felt the need to trade Luka, first of all, that’s crazy. But you did, alright. I just keep going back to these things. Number one, you don’t trade for Anthony Davis. If your whole premise is based on Luka eventually getting hurt, you don’t trade for a guy nicknamed Street Clothes!”
On this edition of The Odd Couple with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington, Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington react to Nico Harrison’s comments on the Dallas Mavericks’ decision to trade Luka Dončić for Anthony Davis, and discuss why he says he doesn't regret it.
