The Oklahoma City Thunder took a commanding 3-1 lead in the NBA Western Conference Finals after holding off the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 4 yesterday on the strength of their defense. For years, Dan has been imploring anybody who will listen to focus on stopping their opponent’s best player in big games and the Thunder were able to keep Anthony Edwards in check for most of the game.
Dan Patrick: “OKC is the best defensive team in the NBA, they’re proving that. Now that’s not, you know, a hot take when you go, ‘How about we credit the defense?’ It’s, ‘What’s wrong with Anthony Edwards?’ I’m giving a whole lot of credit to OKC. I’ve often said many, many, many, many times, so I very often said this; don’t let the best player beat you. OKC did that last night.”
